On the 37th day of the ongoing US-Israeli attacks, the Ministry of Health, through the "National Health Team," released updated figures on medical services and the toll on the health sector. According to the report, eight hospitals have been evacuated due to emergency conditions, although medical services continue to operate at full capacity in other facilities.
Currently, 480 wounded individuals remain hospitalized, while 32,533 people have been discharged after receiving treatment since the attacks began.
The report also noted that 251 women have been killed in the strikes, underscoring the severe civilian toll of the ongoing attacks.
The Iranian medical community held a large gathering at Imam Khomeini Hospital in Tehran on Monday to condemn the Israeli-American crimes. The protest was a bold move against war crimes committed by the Israeli regime and the United States in their country.
Speaking to Mehr News Agency, Dr. Akhavan, an Iranian physician and assistant professor at the Islamic Azad University of Medical Sciences, said that the Iranian nation just demands one thing: retaliation!
Dr. Jafari, who is a dentist, also told Mehr that the United States and the Israeli regime are changing the norms of the world with their actions.
The US and the Israeli regime launched a large-scale unprovoked military campaign against Iran following the assassination of then Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, along with several senior military commanders and civilians, on February 28.
The attacks have involved extensive aerial strikes on both military and civilian locations across Iran, causing significant casualties and widespread damage to infrastructure.
In response, the Iranian Armed Forces have carried out retaliatory operations, targeting American and Israeli positions in the occupied territories and at regional bases with waves of missiles and drones.
